Our story

400 years

Westerby Gårds was written about in the history books already at the 16th century, but from 1618 Westerby has been in the same family. 2018 we celebrated 400 years. It is quite a long time farming, fishing, hunting, taking care of the forest and sailing the seas.

One has lived with and of the nature. This is something that is still important today. We grow a s much as possible of what we serve, we hunt and we pick berries and mushrooms.

The sea has also been important, there was a small shipyard in Lågnäsviken. The drawings to the main building was brought back home from Germany on one of the sailing trips.
